A Pipedrive sales pipeline your team can explain

A pipeline should show the progress of a buying decision. Set up stages that mean the same thing to every salesperson, with clear ownership and a next action on each active opportunity.

Use evidence to define each stage

Pipedrive supports customizable visual pipelines. For your setup, write an entry rule for each stage: a discovery meeting completed, a requirement confirmed or a proposal delivered. Avoid labels that describe a feeling rather than a change in the sale.

Keep separate pipelines for genuinely different processes. Adding a pipeline for every product can fragment reporting if all products follow the same buying journey.

Review progress, not just total value

A useful review looks at overdue activities, time spent in a stage and the next customer commitment. Ask what evidence supports the expected close date and which obstacle needs help.

The sample board below illustrates deal movement. Its names and values are demonstration data, not customer results or a revenue forecast.
